EIA reports are a formal process to predict the environmental consequences of human development activities and to plan appropriate measures to eliminate or reduce adverse effects and to augment positive effects.
EET is accredited in 8 sectors by QCI/NABET under Category (B) which are as follows:- a) Mining of minerals (open cast only) b) Thermal Power Plant c) Coal Washeries d) Metallurgical Industries (Ferrous)-secondary only e) Cement Plants f) Coke /oven Plants g) Synthetic Organic Chemicals h)Building and Construction Projects.
The Environment Impact Assessment includes the comprehensive study of present Environment Status along with the probable impacts of upcoming project/activity and the mitigation measures. EET sets up the Baseline information on all the required aspects viz. Air Environment, Water Environment, Noise environment, Land Environment, Socio economic environment, Ecological environment
After assessing the present environmental status, the impacts of the proposed activity/project are superimposed. The final scenario of the aspect is visualized with available/requisite models for prediction/forecasting. The evaluation of the environmental aspects is carried out and the proposed/required mitigation measures are delineated. The activities of the industry for fulfilment of social/legal obligations shall also be highlighted.
